The Past is Present!

Early in 2008, the Sterling Morton Library joined Digital Past.

  • Digital Past, based at the North Suburban Library System, offers a treasure trove of photographs, postcards, diaries, oral histories, documents, movies, interpretive exhibits, and other historical materials from libraries, archives, museums, and other cultural venues throughout Illinois.

Our participation in this effort has provided us with a venue to digitally present a host of our resources to a greater audience. Over the next months, we’ll be continually adding a wide range of resources from our collections to this site. Whew!

Curious about earlier Arboretum publications? The complete run of Plant Information Bulletin has been scanned and is now available for viewing. Questions about searching Digital Past? Please email me at rhassert@mortonarb.org

Be sure to bookmark this site and watch as we add additional resources!
